What is the MHE Dad's Club?

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to support the students and staff at Moss Haven Elementary by volunteering our time, raising funds for educational and recreational improvements, and building community through special events.

How does the club raise funds?

We primarily raise funds through the sale of annual memberships, hosting special events, event & club sponsorships, and merchandise sales.

How do I join the club?

There are three ways to join:

  1. On our website: www.mhedadsclub.org/join

  2. On the PTA website during Spirit Wear Sales: https://mosshavenpta.membershiptoolkit.com/

  3. By sending a Venmo to @mhedadsclub (be sure to include your name and contact information in the comments field)

How much does it cost to join the club?

Annual dues are $75.  The membership coincides with the school year, so we begin accepting dues for the new year in July.  If you would like to join, but are unable to afford a membership, please reach out to us directly as we may be able to help with club dues (email mhedadsclub@gmail.com).

How can I get involved?

We have several ways to get involved and help make a meaningful difference at MHE!

  • Join our club as your membership dues help fund many of our initiatives. www.mhedadsclub.org/join

  • Help during morning & afternoon pickup! www.mhedadsclub.org/carpool

  • Volunteer to help at various service opportunities: www.mhedadsclub.org/calendar

  • Make a donation: www.mhedadsclub.org/donate

  • Volunteer for a leadership position.  We are always looking for dad’s who are motivated to get more involved and lead an initiative or be considered for future board of directors’ positions.

  • Join us for social events, like our Thirsty Third Thursday happy hours at King’s X on Forest Lane (8PM on the 3rd Thursday, monthly.  Drinks not provided, just an opportunity to socialize with fellow dads)

How do you decide how funds are used?

We pride ourselves on ensuring we responsibly steward club funds to ensure the maximum benefit to the MHE student and staff community.  We accomplish this through a close partnership with School Administration and the PTA.  Input on how funds are used is always welcome, and our Board of Directors votes on our spending strategy during quarterly meetings and through the annual budgeting process.

What are some of the ways funds have been utilized?

Here are some examples of how funds were utilized during the past year:

  • Updating outdoor ‘covered area’ with a multi-use sport surface.

  • Teacher Lounge Re-Stocking

  • Coffee & Breakfast for Staff special events
